FAQs
Which airport should I fly into?
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) are the three main hubs that serve the New York City area. Public transit, taxis, and rideshares are available from the airports to get to your accommodations and/or the venue.
How do I get to the Ace Hotel Brooklyn?
The public transportation system in New York is one of the best and most comprehensive in the United States. You can get to anywhere within the city via the subway system and bus lines. A single ride (with transfers) is $2.90 and can be paid by tapping your phone at the subway station turnstile or upon entering the bus. There are numerous subway lines close to the hotel, including:
B, D, N, Q, R, W (DeKalb Ave stop)
2, 3 (Hoyt St stop)
A, C, G (Hoyt-Schermerhorn St stop)
2, 3, 4, 5 (Nevins St stop)
Google Maps or Apple Maps will plan out your transit for you! Remember—this is the Ace Hotel Brooklyn (252 Schermerhorn St, Brooklyn, NY 11217), NOT the branch in Manhattan!
Are children allowed at your wedding?
Although we would love to, we cannot accommodate children at the venue. We appreciate your understanding.
Is there a dress code?
For our Friday welcome party, the dress code is dressy casual. Think button down shirts, slacks, blazers, midi skirts, and day dresses.
For our Saturday wedding, the dress code is semi-formal. Think suits and ties with dress shoes, cocktail dresses, dressy separates, or clothing traditionally worn to weddings from your own culture.
Should I bring a coat?
We know that the weather in New York is a bit unpredictable in the spring, so if you need to bring a jacket on Saturday, there will be a coat check next to the Stoop bar on the 2nd floor.
